

Dragons Fury Tarte Tatin
As Seen on BBC Dragons Den!
I have created this great savoury recipe for a spicy family treat. A wonderful way to tear and share your way through crunchy pastry and aromatic spice.
Shopping basket for One Individual Tarte
1 Alf Turner Ring of Fire sausage ring
Tbsp olive oil
1 spring onion cut into 20mm batons
3 cherry tomatoes cut in half
1 clove of garlic finely crushed
5grm fresh ginger finely chopped
3 button shallots or quarter of a small white onion, thinly sliced
All butter Puff pastry
Lemon wedge
Sprigs of coriander
Dusting of plain flour
Before you Start
Peel and wash the salad/vegetable garnish
The Cooking
Place the sausage ring into a preheated pan, cook until lightly coloured, adding garlic, ginger, onion, and spring onion.
Once ingredients have caramelised add cherry tomato halves and fresh coriander.
Squeeze with lemon and rest to the side.
Roll out puff pastry and top the pan with a thick pastry lid.
Bake for 25mins at 165 degrees until the puff pastry lid is golden brown.
Rest for one minute and turn out onto your serving plate.

Be generous with your pasty lid to give you extra crunchy edges

Add a little sugar if you require extra sticky sweetness

Never worry about food waste as the tarte freezes fab!

Use a small frying pan approximately 6inch diameter

Double the recipe to make a bigger tarte and serve your family portion

The tarte can be made in advance and re heated in a moderate oven for 5 minutes

The tarte eats great with thick natural yoghurt and green salad
